Charles M. Trunz, III, CPA
Charles M. Trunz, III is the Executive Partner, Hospital Relations and Urgent Care at SCALE Healthcare.
Most recently, Charles’s role as an Advisor led to becoming President of CityMD, one of the largest Urgent Care Healthcare providers in the NY Metropolitan area.
Charles previously held several leadership positions from years 2001 to 2009 for Northwell Health serving as its Co-Chief Operating Officer and its Chief Administrative Officer. While at Northwell Health, he also developed a “for profit” retail ambulatory and pharmacy healthcare business. Northwell Health is a top 10 health provider on Long Island and in New York City with over 60,000 employees and 17 hospitals and affiliates.
At JPMorgan, from years 1980 to 2001, Charles was a Senior Managing Director serving on its Executive Committee in various leadership capacities, including Chief Operating Officer: Investment Bank, Chief Financial Officer: Investment Bank, President: JPMorgan Securities, and Risk Officer: Global Markets. He also assisted in the development and incubation of several startup companies which are now public.
He has participated in a number of social service and education related philanthropic organizations over the past 30 years. He established the Palliative Care Center at North Shore Manhasset University Hospital. He served for over 20 years on the Georgetown University Business School Advisory Board and its Board of Governors.
He earned his CPA and worked for Ernst and Young following college graduation from Georgetown University in 1975.
Charles and his wife, Beth, have a family of eight children and reside in New York.
