Jim Mihnovich is an Interim CFO at SCALE Finance.
Jim’s background and experience comes from over twenty years in healthcare both in physician practice management and Medicare Advantage health plans, leading and directing the accounting, finance and operations departments for large public companies, private equity backed high-growth entities and academic health and science organizations. He has experience in accounting for large multi-entities, locations (400+), and providers (2,400) in states with Corporate Practice of Medical regulations.
Most recently, Jim has served as a CFO for PE sponsored companies, in the early stages leading M&A transactions and integrations (15 acquisitions) while raising capital to support the extensive growth of the companies. In addition, Jim led the revenue cycle team to best-in-class performance while integrating EHRs, building compliance programs, and developing physician compensation models that allowed providers to share in quality and risk bonuses. He has extensive experience in provider compensation modeling, automation, and improving relationships with physicians.
Jim can be hands on developing staff, enhancing, and implementing systems (NetSuite, TM1, Adaptive Insight, ADP, and Concur), standardizing processes and controls and building financial reports that bridge relationships with operations and finance leading to significant improvement in overall cooperation and margins. He began his professional career as an auditor with Deloitte in New York City focusing on banks, brokers/dealers, and insurance companies. Jim’s passion for those less fortunate has taken him to Africa, the Caribbeans and Latin America assisting in building water wells, grain stations, feeding centers and medical facilities. Jim and his wife have adopted and raised five children from Ethiopia during their charitable endeavors.
